Making A Gift

This year's Ride to Wellness features the Hartford HealthCare Chase Family Movement Disorders Center. To learn more about the program or to donate, please read below:

At the Hartford HealthCare Chase Family Movement Disorders Center, we understand that caring for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders requires a whole-body, integrated approach. Our wellness programs offer exceptional exercise classes and educational sessions that are proven to help patients not only manage their disease, but enhance their lives. We believe so strongly in the benefit these programs have on our patients’ lives that we offer them through dedicated instructors free-of-charge.

Dr. J. Antonelle DeMarcaida, Medical Director, and Dr. Duarte Machado, Co-Director, along with our team of experts, are excited to expand our comprehensive services in our new state-of-the-art Hartford HealthCare HealthCenter in Cheshire, where we will offer yoga, tai chi, boxing, dance, acupuncture, massage, support groups, and educational programs to patients and families.

Support from our generous donors is vital to our success. Your financial support will allow us to continue to provide these disease-modifying programs at no cost to the community. On behalf of those with movement disorders who will benefit from the funds raised, we offer our deepest gratitude.

Bike Cheshire will have a limited number of bikes available to ”rent” at the event. If you’d like to use a community bike share bike to participate in the Ride to Wellness and to ensure we’ll have a bike available for you in time, please contact Jim Jinks via email at by Wednesday, September 18th. Thank you.
