With warmer temperatures on the way, families are sure to want to get outside and break from Old Man Winter’s freezing grasp.
One Cheshire resident is hoping to welcome spring and summer days by offering a chance for families and individuals to get out and go for a ride.
Jim Jinks recently organized the nonprofit organization Cheshire Free Ride, which will provide residents an opportunity to rent bicycles along the Cheshire Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and go for a ride by themselves or with their families.
“I’ve had the thought to do this for a few years,” explained Jinks. “These bike shares are becoming kind of commonplace.”
